Faculty member, entrepreneur and lecturer
Roei brings his experience in computer science & mathematics, together with a vast understanding of the business world. As a faculty member & senior lecturer since 2005, and as an entrepreneur in two different spaces:
technology and agriculture.
Roei was involved in establishing a couple of companies in Israel during the years, when one of his latest success was in CANNDOC which he merged, as the company’s CEO, with Intercure (INCR.TA) the first public company in the pharmaceutical cannabis industry in Israel, that reached a valuation of more than 1 billion NIS during his tenure.
Roei combines his work at the academy together with his work in the industry and by that he brings both worlds to his students on campus. Roei teaches at Shenkar’s Industrial Engineering and Management School and serves since 2016 as the head of the Center for the Advancement of Teaching at Shenkar, and during 2019 he was nominated to be Shenkar’s
Institutional Academic Supervisor for courses of practical experience.
Roei lectures globally and was invited to speak in 2019 in the World Economic Forum in Davos, gave a TEDx talk, and has been speaking in various conferences around the globe. In a survey done by the Israeli
Student Union, Roei was chosen to be one of Israeli most Inspiring Lecturers out of more than 10,000 nominees.
